JACKSON, Wyo. (April 3, 2017) – Springtime in the Tetons can mean warm, sunny skies one minute and snow the next. No one knows the fickle nature of springtime weather in the mountains better than the design team at Jackson Hole-based apparel brand Stio. The company’s Spring 2017 Collection is built with a focus on technical function and versatility and includes a healthy dose of unique, mountain-town style that sets it apart from the competition.
“Spring in the mountains marks the return of our favorite bike rides, climbs, paddles and trail runs, and the season’s unpredictable weather requires technical gear and apparel that can keep up,” said Noah Waterhouse, vice president of sales and marketing at Stio. “We’re pleased to introduce a collection that meets the demands of warm weather adventures and ever-changing weather, and can be worn straight from trail to town.”
Building upon its popular Alpine Athlete Collection, Stio introduces the Alpha® Alpine Pullover, a lightweight, versatile layer with highly breathable active insulation that stays warm and dry during spring cardio activities. Using the same popular Polartec® Alpha® active insulation as the award-winning Alpha® Alpine Hooded Jacket, the Pullover features a snap-button placket for elevated style and a front kangaroo pocket for quick stashing. Other additions to the Alpine Athlete collection include the Pinion Down Sweater. This lightweight layer features 800-fill HyperDry™water-repellent, responsibly-sourced down and is available in a full zip jacket and vest.
The ultimate crossover choice for town or travel, the Coburn Collection is classic Stio, blending sophisticated mountain town style with performance fabrics and feature sets. Equipped with Tetonic TwillTM stretch-woven fabric, the Coburn Shirt, Pant and Short for men, and the Coburn Jogger for women offer casual looks for everyday wear, with technical capabilities for a day in the mountains.
The Modis Collection, featuring Stio’s signature three-season waterproof and breathable storm shell, expands for spring 2017. New to the collection is a half-zip Anorak style for both men and women and the original Modis Hooded Jacket and the women’s Modis Trench are available in new colors. Built with Pertex Shield 2.5L waterproof/breathable shell fabric, the Modis Collection’s three distinctive styles are built to protect against any unpredictable wet weather.
Finally, Stio rolls out more gear for mountain surf in its CFS Collection this spring. The new CFS Shirt and the updated CFS Board Pant and Short are made with SpheroTM HO stretch poplin polyester. CFS garments feature UPF 50+ sun protection and four-way stretch that stays dry and blocks the sun during long days on the water. Built to take you to the river and back, the Downwater is a new, highly durable water short designed with DWR-treated nylon fabric that can sustain the demands of river life. Transport gear in any weather—on land and water—in the all new burly, weatherproof CFS Duffel, made with TPU-coated 600D polyester in two sizes (75L, 40L) and a backpack.
