Subscribers choose from a monthly Cairn box, featuring up to six products at a value of $35 to $50, or a premium quarterly Obsidian box, including five to ten products at a value of over $300. The contents of each box are curated for subscribers, based on seasonal relevance, sizes and recreation preferences.
In February 2018, Cairn launched its Gear Up, Give Back™ program, making it easy for customers to ship back and donate their used gear, which is then repaired and sold by Bend-based organization, The Gear Fix, with net proceeds benefiting The Conservation Alliance.
