CARBONDALE, Colo. (Jan. 11, 2018) – Backbone Media, the country’s leading active lifestyle media agency, today named Charles Lozner as a partner. Lozner, who has served as the agency’s director of integrated services since 2015, became the agency’s fifth partner.

“We first came to know Charlie when he was our client at Outdoor Research,” said Nate Simmons, Backbone Media managing partner. “He has brought a fresh perspective as a brand marketer to help our clients navigate data, analytics, ecommerce marketing, and the integration between public relations and paid media.”

Lozner’s work has been integral to the signing of several new clients at Backbone and the success of many others. Recent wins for Backbone include the addition of media business for YETI and New Belgium Brewing. He has overseen the agency’s performance marketing campaigns with Facebook and Google, contributing to the rapid growth of Backbone’s media department. Prior to joining Backbone, Lozner was the director of marketing at Outdoor Research and worked in brand marketing and communications for more than a decade.

A New York native, Lozner enjoys backcountry skiing, trail running, mountain biking, and fly fishing in his free time. He is a graduate of Yale University and lives in Carbondale with his wife and two daughters.
